A Clean Slate

Happy New Year to all three of our readers!  The New Year is always a time to start fresh and maybe look at what you have in a different light.

On the con side:

  • I turn 48 next week.
  • My back is still killing me from my car crash two months ago.
  • I haven’t spoken to Kentucky for months, and I miss him.
  • I have canceled my trip to the UK this year.

On the pro side:

  • I’m still alive, even if a bit fucked up.
  • I’ve got a fridge full of beer, that tastes great.
  • I have over 20,000 songs in my mp3 collection, which I love to listen to.
  • I’m just going to crack open a fresh beer.
  • I still remember seeing The Clash for the first time and how amazing it was.
  • I still love my wife after 18 years of marriage.
  • My two kids make me proud most of the time.
  • I’m even enjoying my job these days.
  • We’re booked to go back to Manhattan Beach this year.  California again Max!
  • The Drinking Mans Diary is still going, just.
  • I have faith that Kentucky will be posting in 2011
  • I’m just going to crack open a fresh beer.

So although there are cons, they are more than outweighed by the pros, and that has to be a reason to crack open a fresh one.
