Blood on the Tracks

I’ve talked about this before. When the hour gets late and the beer has been flowing I find myself pressing play on Bob Dylan’s masterpiece. I’m not trying to get depressed. I just find great comfort in this album. I think a lot has to do with when I first listened to it at college. It just takes me back to Leeds in the early ’80’s. Life was simple then. When I went on my recent vacation to South Padre I prepared a playlist for the seven hour drive. In fact, the playlist was 18 hours so that I could be sure of fresh music both ways. Needless to say there was no song from Blood on there. It is just for me. Before mp3’s and individual tracks there were some records that were designed to be played as an “album”. This is one such album. I love this album.
