What a difference a hair colour makes. So, Erin Moriarty is a screwed up druggy brunette for most of the film Blood Father, but then she goes blonde when she converts into a good daughter under Mel’s influence (while on the run from a sicario). Now, is this a terrible American stereotype that blondes are nice sweet daddy’s girls and brunettes are cynical troublemakers who hang out with biker-types? Inside every Winona, interrupted there is a preferable blonde trying to get out? And why didn’t Mel dye his grey hair, by the way, as he was on the run too?
