So I was sampling a fine dry cider this week from a local brewery in Austin called Texas Keeper. I know nothing about these cats, but I really enjoyed their Heirloom Cider. At 7.9% ABV its quite a strong brew and after polishing off the bottle (which was 25oz) I was feeling the flight in my tail, or as Kentucky would say – “I had dolphins in my trousers.”
The cider is quite dry and very clear and goes down very smoothly. They call it a “Small Batch Cider”, so it reminds me of the barrels of cider I used to make myself in single batches, of course without the refinement or quality.
