After Bob Dylan’s Thirtieth Anniversary Concert Celebration at Madison Square Garden, in 1992 he went back to an after-hours party at Tommy Makem’s place. There were lots of his friends there including the likes of Eric Clapton, George Harrison, and Ronnie Wood. Bob was sitting at a large table and was chatting with Liam Clancy, a great old friend of Bob’s. And of course the wine and Guinness were flowing. As the evening progressed, something was on Clancy’s mind: “Bobby, where you screwing Cathy?” Bob replied: “Man, she loved you. But she was so lonesome. I gotta admit, man, I did comfort her.” I bet you did Bobby.
