So, I’ve been reading a great book by Allan Jones entitled I Can’t Stand up for Falling Down (where have I heard that before?) It’s a series of his Uncut magazine reminiscences from the 1970s when he worked at Melody Maker. Boy, what a vanished world of booze and blagging. Several sections reminded me of the old bands, the old days, and the old attitudes. Change the world by tearing it all down!
This page made me laugh and also made me think … what a bunch of schoolboys. Thank god we all grow up, though I wouldn’t change a thing. Get happy, Joe, and Rest in Peace!
