Nifty Fifty

Well the first couple of my school-year contemporaries are turning fifty this week. When I look at my friends I see that some are successes, some are mathematicians and some are carpenters’ wives. And some don’t have the wherewithal no more. Divorce, lost custody and alimony behind them, they are let loose to live the life of freedom denied to those of us shackled to full-time jobs, fast women, and freehold properties. So, just remember you drinking men that Frankie Lee was left to die of thirst after 16 nights and days in a home with 24 women. Don’t go mistaking paradise for that home across the road!
