So sometimes I really believe that The Consul has a camera in my office. As he was posting this I was busy working on a playlist for my daughter that focused on the 70’s but had some spill over into the 60’s and the 80’s. His useful comments on some great 70’s tracks helped me grow an existing playlist of 120 songs to 372 songs of sheer beauty. I’ve been listening to this playlist all week and I may never stop. So many great songs. I’m particularly pleased he rightly calls out The Jam’s: Down in the Tube Station at Midnight.
First time I heard this I thought it was the best pop record ever made. Still know every word.
Which mirrors my feelings as I posted here such a wonderful and haunting song and holds up so well 39 years later.
