I decided I needed a new drink. And as we have established I really didn’t like the taste of beer, so I tried out the favorite of every tramp around Leeds – Gamyer’s Olde English Cider. Wow, this was perfect. I enjoyed the taste which I had realized five years earlier during Sunday lunches, but what surprised me was that if I drank 3 or 4 pints I’d be drunk as a lord. It was a revelation to me, and so began my long love affair with cider, which to this day shines strong.
