The early days in ten drinks – 10 Chambard

Finally, the king of English wines. Chambard was the Morrisons wine that every student could afford. Kentucky and I took a couple of bottles to a Damned gig out in the Yorkshire countryside, elbowed our way to the front and pogoed the night away. Was it Nostell Priory? I then left Uni and Kentucky hooked up regularly with Max and they hung out at the Fenton and the Faversham and all those F’ing pubs. No doubt he’ll spill all one day. I would join them at weekends to go down the Old Steps and so on, taking the National Express from down south….

No record of Chambard exists in the present day so perhaps it was all a dream. Plenty of records by the Damned remain. I thank you.
