Type casting

So, what is this ‘type’ thing? Is attraction based on genetic inclination or on experiential association? Do we want our mums and dads or the stereotypes of social conditioning crossed with our craving for the strangely familiar? And what’s love got to do with it? For me it’s actually the eyes. Windows to the soul and all that. For Max, it’s similar, I know, ‘cos he’s a romantic underneath that gruff exterior. For Kentucky it’s about the pints he’s drunk. Beer goggles don’t come cheap. Being a northerner, Kentucky is in tune with the times, and knows it’s not about emotional connection. It’s just all about the hanging fruit of a breast with a nipple hard and wrinkled like a peach stone: ‘Oh, there ain’t no love, no Montagues or Capulets Just banging tunes and DJ sets and… Dirty dancefloor dreams of naughtiness!’
